The Votes are in and the Membership has Spoken!

Many thanks to all of you who voted in the recent elections for the 2023-2024 NCIHC Board of Directors. The votes are in and the successful candidates are:

	Secretary: Rosemary Ford, System Director of Interpreter Services/Mobile Health Clinic, Covenant Health, Nashua, NH
	Director: Maichou Lor, Assistant Professor, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Madison, WI
	Director: Andy Schwieter, Director of Language Access Services, Cincinnati Children's Medical Center Cincinnati, OH
	Director: Graciela Zozaya, Strategic Solutions Executive, MasterWord Services, Houston, TX
	Director: Fabiola Munafo, Language Access Services Manager, Cincinnati Children's Medical Center, Cincinnati, OH

WAIT! – we hear you cry. Weren’t there just three director positions open? Yes, that is true. However, the final two candidates tied in number of votes. Out of respect for the voices of our membership, the current Board decided to expand the incoming board from 11 members to 12 for the 2023-2024 election year, so that both elected candidates could be included.

Congratulations to all who ran. We hope that those of you who did not win this time around will join or continue to serve on one of the NCIHC committees. This is where the fun work happens!
